Who runs this site

ryanoccg.com, including the blog at ryanoccg.com/blogs, is run by Ryano Chu Chee Guan, trading as Ryano Chu Web Solution, based in Penang, Malaysia. Questions about this policy or your data go to [email protected].

What is collected when you browse

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and records things like the pages you view, how long you stay, your device and browser type, and your approximate location at the city or country level. It does not tell me who you are.

A few clicks are also counted as events: tapping a WhatsApp link (and which part of the page it was on), downloading my resume, scrolling the pricing section into view, and successfully sending the quote form. The quote event only records that a form was sent, never what you wrote in it.

The data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and the site works the same without it.

There is no advertising on ryanoccg.com, no visitor accounts, and no blog comments.

What is collected when you contact me

The quote form on the homepage asks for your name, email, an optional phone or WhatsApp number, the package and budget you are interested in, and a message. Before it is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person rather than a bot, which involves Cloudflare reading technical signals from your browser and IP address under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Your form details are then delivered to my inbox as an email through the SMTP2GO email service, together with your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the time you sent it, which help me spot spam. That email is the only copy; this site keeps no other. To stop spam, the form service may count submissions from each IP address for up to one hour before the count is discarded.

If you message me on WhatsApp or by email instead, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) or Google Gmail under their own privacy terms.

How your details are used

Contact details are used only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the project. I do not sell, rent or share them with anyone for marketing. I keep enquiry emails for as long as they are useful for following up and for ordinary business records, and I will delete them sooner if you ask.

Ryano Analytics (internal reporting tool)

"Ryano Analytics" is the name of a small set of scripts I use to report on how ryanoccg.com is doing. Its only user is me, signing in with my own Google account. It never asks visitors to sign in and never touches any visitor's Google account.

With read-only permission (the analytics.readonly and webmasters.readonly scopes), it reads this site's own Google Analytics data (visits, pages, traffic sources, devices, countries) and Google Search Console data (search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, average position and index status). It cannot change any setting or data in either service.

The data is used only to produce performance and SEO reports for this site. The sign-in token and the report files stay on my own computer. I review the reports myself. They may also be processed by the AI assistant service I use for analysis (currently Anthropic's Claude), only to help produce these reports. Beyond that they are not sold, published or shared with anyone. Report history is kept for as long as it is useful for comparing results over time.

Access can be withdrawn at any time from Google Account permissions, after which the stored token stops working. Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your rights

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you can ask what personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or withdraw your consent and ask for it to be deleted. Email [email protected] and I will reply within 21 days.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
